The Research and Development Division (RDD) is tasked with multiple responsibilities designed to enhance and optimize organizational capabilities across a broad spectrum. Through the management of innovative approaches designed to strategically align Missouri State Highway Patrol resources, RDD efforts contribute to overall organizational effectiveness and mission readiness. The division is comprised of two primary sections, each managed by an assistant division director. The Organizational Support and Administrative Services Section manages policy development and accreditation, departmental forms and references, staff inspections and statewide property control initiatives. The Statistical Analysis and Internal Support Services Section manages the Statistical Analysis Center, strategic planning, fiscal note analysis, coordination of special projects and overall supervision of clerical support staff.
